Our Misson

Savannah’s Organic Ranch has been created to continue the legacy of Savannah’s passion for people, animals and nature by educating children and adults alike on the benefits of organic foods and farming to our bodies, our fellow living creatures, and our planet. We aim to spread the seeds of a healthier future by involving children in the organic process, from planting to harvesting, and then creating and enjoying healthy meals, and by doing so, empowering them to make choices that will better all. Finally, in addition to education and nutrition, our ranch will encourage philanthropy by involving children in the donation of organic foods to local food banks and other charities, as well as allocating a portion of funds raised toward easing the lives of children battling pediatric cancer.

We intend to achieve this through the following avenues:

• Assisting schools, both public and private, as well as organizations such as the Boys and Girls Clubs in setting up “Savannah’s Organic Gardens” on their properties. We would involve students from the planting process through the harvesting process and beyond, utilizing their harvests in healthy ways.
• Publishing and distributing “Savannah’s Organic Cookbook,” created specifically from recipes developed by Savannah, combined with cooking classes or other opportunities with children to put these meals together themselves. Many of these recipes are unique and different, while many are a healthier version of well-known dishes giving children healthy alternatives.
• Speaking engagements and seminars, such as MOPS, aimed at parents, with the goal of presenting them with the sobering statistics of pediatric cancer and potential links to pesticides and tainted soil, while educating them on the organic process and supporting local farming entities.
• Sponsoring field trips for children’s groups (i.e. Girl Scouts, Grief Support Groups, Ronald McDonald House tenants, etc.) to existing local organic farms with organized activities and educational opportunities
• Marketing and outreach programs.
• Savannah’s Sowing the Seeds of Love program will provide funding to fulfill some of Savannah's dreams such as the distribution of DVD players to children enduring chemotherapy an other difficult treatments and procedures, pediatric cancer ward treatment and/or playroom improvements and clinical trails for rare cancers.
